Kentucky Dairy Partners Annual Meeting
The sixth annual Kentucky Dairy Partners Meeting will be held February 26 & 27, 2013. The meeting will be held again this year at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The agenda is set for this year and located on our website. The cost to attend is $30 per person except Kentucky Dairy Producers (limit 2 per permit) are free. Industry partners who would like to exhibit need to register. The registration information is available on the website.
Management Practices before Calving Help Prevent Fresh Dairy Cows from Becoming "Losers"
Transition cows continue to be a problem area on many dairy farms. Recognizing these problems early could prevent these cows from becoming problems or culls in your herd. This article covers areas in nutrition where the dairy farmer might be able to make changes to assist these cows.
What to Look for in an Oral Electrolyte Product
No matter what the cause of diarrhea in calves, an oral electrolyte product may be needed. These products can vary greatly so it is important to recognize the differences and learn what the latest research has shown.
